This evening Rivergate Church held it's first service for the community and these three delightful ladies (seated) were the first to enter the church - so Janine and I duly had our photograph taken with them to mark the occasion.
Altogether twenty one people attended the 'Celebration' service -including those who had come from Barking Salvation Army and Christchurch to support the occasion and, for this, we are extremely grateful.
Janine and I were delighted that two of our new World Class Tots (Parent n' Toddler group) volunteers (Helen and Rochelle) also came bringing their families.with them. Helen made the tea/coffee and Rochelle helped to clear the hall afterwards - we put them to good use straight away :))
The theme for the evening was 'Celebration' and so the party poppers went off well during the last hymn and the 'Celebration' chocolates were a hit with everyone. However, new friendships that were made whilst chatting over a cup of tea/coffee brought the evening to a successful, happy and relax conclusion.
Thank you to everyone who sent their best wishes, cards, emails and to those who promised to pray for the evening - Janine and I value your support and encouragement. xx
